What Records Should You Actually Keep?
Keep every entry. FAR 91.417 only requires you to keep most job and inspection entries until the work is repeated or superseded, or for a year. Status records, such as total time and AD status, stay with the airplane, and if an old entry is your only record of one, you still have to keep that information. When you sell, both kinds go to the buyer.
